Sweden Jails Christian Pastor

In a former post I wrote,
We do not hold free speech as paramount to a free society. Bill C-250. If we were really not afraid as a people, we would not have passed Bill C-250 or laws against hate speech. Watch, we will be the first Christian people to ban the bible and demand that it be re-written so that it is not "offensive" to any minority and non-christian groups -- unless they are Jews.

In the Ecumenical News International today and I quote:

Stockholm (ENI). A Swedish court has sentenced a pastor belonging to the
Pentecostal movement in Sweden, Ake Green, to a month in prison, under a
law against incitement, after he was found guilty of having offended
homosexuals in a sermon. Soren Andersson, the president of the Swedish
federation for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights (RFSL), said
on hearing the sentence that religious freedom could never be used as a
reason to offend people. "Therefore," he told journalists, "I cannot regard
the sentence as an act of interference with freedom of religion."

I will admit, I was wrong. For once, Canada will not be the first PC country to demand a re-write of the bible to make it non-offensive, Sweden will. Canada will follow Sweden's lead. In order to be better prepared to follow Sweden's lead I suggest that the next election platform for the Fiberals and NDP should be an immediate increase in funding to accommodate the need of "Super Jails" to house the Christians.
