Deliverance

One would have thought that being a Jew in Poland in 2008 and participating in March of the Living would be one of the safest places in the world to be a Jew in. Apparently, it is not without its own hazards. Ynet News:
At least one terrorist held three Jewish youths from Brazil or the US at gunpoint on Monday in their hotel room at the Warsaw Holiday Inn, initial reports reveal. According to reports, the Polish police managed to overpower the terrorists and release the hostages. No Israeli delegations were staying at the hotel. There are no reports of injuries and no further details are available at this time.
I am not so sure it’s a terrorist attack, and think it is far more likely to be a common garden variety type robbery gone happily awry. Kudos to the Polish police.
