Count me in

with Jim on this one.

And maybe Diane Brisebois, paid head stooge of the Retail Council of Canada, can explain just how is it Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows cost more at Amazon.ca than it does at Amazon.com?

Let’s just not blame the publisher for this one, Of course I would also to suggest that when a publisher offers a “suggested retail price” it does not oblige any book retailer to sell at that publisher’s suggested retail price – operative word here being “suggested”.

But I would really love to hear the Retail Council of Canada’s justification for this little online retailing disparity – Just why does Amazon.com offer free shipping when its US online customers spend at least US$25 but Amazon.ca makes its online retail customers buy at least Cdn$39 worth of goods to get $6 worth of free shipping?
