Signs of the Times

I am reminded of the old Chinese curse "may you live in interesting times" and if nothing else, this new millennium has certainly been interesting.

A little over a year ago we saw crowds numbering collectively in the millions come out to protest the removal of a barbarous kelptocratic thug. We have the International Court of Justice rule that Palestinian convenience trumps Jewish lives or limbs. We have a German a movie just released showing Adolph Hitler’s softer, more human side. A group of Canadians in Nelson, B.C. want to have a festival celebrating moral cowardice and have commissioned a memorial of naked draft dodgers being helped by a naked Canadian to escape the consequences of their convictions.

And then in today’s Globe and Mail we have a US President ridiculed for saying "freedom is not America’s gift to the world; it is the almighty G-d’s gift to every man and woman" a la Rick Saultin. You know that the Summer of Love liberals have filed moral bankruptcy when they are reduced to ridiculing the concept of freedom being a divine right of every living human.
